Danielle Iwata is a board member of AAPI Montclair, founded in 2021, which recently became the first Asian American group in New Jersey to join the Say the Word Campaign. The group was a leader in efforts to pass an Asian American curriculum law passed by the Legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support and signed by Gov. Murphy in January.
